The Windermere Route – Final 50km (2025)

A group raising funds for The Fed’s MyVoice project completed the final 50km from Carlisle to Windermere over 2 days, with the final 5km walking in the steps of the Windermere Children to Calgarth for a ceremony at the Lakes School which is home to the Tree of Life, a sapling grown from an acorn found at Auschwitz

Members of 3 Manchester synagogues hiked and had a traditional picnic after a private presentation at the LDHP. Prayers were said at Calgarth for the first time in 80 years, and we were joined by one of the Boys Arek Hersh who said Kaddaish
