The first of hopefully many primary school Y6 trips to the Lakes to start their young explorer discovery journey. We climbed Orrest Head, played along the lakeside, and hiked in the steps of the Windermere Children to Calgarth for a ceremony at the Lakes School which is home to the Tree of Life, a sapling grown from an acorn found at Auschwitz.
